I am a 29 year old say at home mother of two. I have lived here in Swift Current Saskatchewan all my life. My interests are photography and music. I have been taking pictures now since I was about 12 years old when I got my first kodak camera for a birthday gift. I am a self taught artist, and find the more that I play around with my camera the more that I learn. The last couple of years staying at home has allowed me alot more time to concentrate on my photography.
I prefer to shoot mainly in B&W but I am trying to learn a little more about shooting in color. I started mainly shooting portraits of my children but now I am trying to focus on my landscape work. I shoot with a Canon s5 iS digital camera. The digital world is all kind of new to me having always used a Minolta SLR. It is quite the change but I am starting to prefer the digital, especially when it comes to being more experimental with my images.
Most of my work is inspired by the mood that I am in at the moment and the surroundings I am in. I try to take the things around me and create somthing more than just an image, but somthing that people can look at and feel an emotion from. Most of my work is taken of Prairie Landscapes.
